우편번호(새 우편번호) 체계란?
2015년 8월 도로명주소 전면 시행과 함께 도입된 5자리 우편번호 체계입니다. 기존 6자리 지번 기반 우편번호는 폐지되었으며, 도로명주소 하나당 고유한 5자리 번호가 부여됩니다. 옛 6자리 우편번호는 더 이상 유효하지 않으므로, 서류·택배 작성 시 반드시 새 5자리 번호를 사용해야 합니다.
검색이 잘 안 될 때 (검색 팁)
시·군·구 이름만으로는 검색할 수 없습니다(예: "서울시"만 입력 시 오류). 도로명+건물번호(예: 세종대로 110) 또는 동·리+번지까지 입력해야 정확히 검색됩니다. 건물명·아파트 단지명 일부로도 검색이 가능한 경우가 있습니다.
출처와 이용 안내
본 도구는 행정안전부 도로명주소 API(juso.go.kr)를 실시간으로 호출해 결과를 보여줍니다 — 별도로 저장·가공한 데이터가 아닙니다. API 서버 점검·장애 시 일시적으로 검색이 안 될 수 있으며, 이 경우 도로명주소 안내시스템(juso.go.kr)에서 직접 확인할 수 있습니다.
What is the (new) 5-digit postal code system?
Korea introduced a 5-digit postal code system in August 2015 alongside the nationwide rollout of road-name addresses. The old 6-digit lot-based postal codes were discontinued — each road-name address is assigned a unique 5-digit code. Always use the new 5-digit code on forms and parcels.
Search tips
A city/county/district name alone cannot be searched (e.g. entering just "Seoul" fails). Enter a road name + building number (e.g. Sejong-daero 110) or a dong/ri + lot number. Partial building or apartment complex names sometimes work too.
Source and usage notes
This tool calls the Ministry of the Interior and Safety road-name address API (juso.go.kr) in real time — it is not a locally stored or processed dataset. Searches may be temporarily unavailable during API maintenance; in that case, check directly at the Juso address system (juso.go.kr).
