전역일 계산기란?
전역일 계산기는 입대일(입영일)과 군종을 입력하면 전역일과 전역까지 남은 D-day, 이등병·일등병·상등병·병장 진급일, 그리고 지금까지의 복무 진행률을 한 번에 보여 주는 도구입니다. 군 복무 중 남은 기간을 확인하거나, 휴가·자기계발 계획을 세울 때 유용합니다.
계산 방법
전역일은 입영일에 군종별 복무 개월수를 더한 만료일의 전날입니다.
전역일 = (입영일 + 복무개월) − 1일
진급일은 현행 기준으로 입영일로부터 2개월 후 일병, 8개월 후 상병, 14개월 후 병장으로 계산합니다. 복무 진행률은 입영일부터 전역일까지 전체 기간 중 오늘까지 지난 비율(%)입니다. 모든 날짜는 서머타임·시간대 오차가 없도록 자정 기준으로 계산합니다.

What is this calculator?
The military discharge calculator takes your enlistment date and service branch and shows your discharge date, the D-day remaining, the promotion dates for each rank, and your current service progress.
How it is calculated
Discharge = (enlistment + service months) − 1 day
Promotions are estimated as 2 months to PFC, 8 months to Corporal, and 14 months to Sergeant from the enlistment date. Progress is the share of the full enlistment-to-discharge period elapsed as of today. All dates use midnight to avoid DST/timezone errors.

복무기간과 전역일이 정해지는 방식
전역일은 입영일과 군별 복무기간으로 정해집니다. 복무기간은 병역법이 정한 기준에 따라 군별로 다르고, 조기 전역이나 복무 연장 같은 변수가 붙으면 달라집니다.
군별 복무기간
현역병 복무기간은 육군과 해병이 18개월, 해군이 20개월, 공군이 21개월입니다. 사회복무요원은 21개월이고, 그 밖의 대체복무는 종류에 따라 기간이 따로 정해져 있습니다.
복무기간은 입영일부터 셉니다. 전역일은 복무기간이 끝나는 날이며, 만료일 당일에 전역하는 것이 원칙입니다.
복무기간은 국방 정책에 따라 조정된 이력이 있습니다. 이미 복무 중인 사람에게는 입영 시점의 기준이 적용되는 것이 일반적이라, 본인의 입영일 기준을 확인해야 합니다.
전역일이 앞당겨지거나 밀리는 경우
전역일이 공휴일이나 주말이면 앞당겨 전역하는 운영을 하는 부대가 있습니다. 부대 사정에 따르므로 일정한 규칙으로 보기는 어렵습니다.
질병이나 사고로 입원한 기간, 무단이탈 기간 등은 복무기간에 산입되지 않아 전역일이 밀릴 수 있습니다. 반대로 포상 휴가와 달리 조기 전역은 별도의 요건을 갖춰야 합니다.
전역 후에는 예비군 편성이 이어집니다. 편성 기간과 훈련 소집은 전역일을 기준으로 산정되므로, 전역일을 정확히 알아두면 이후 일정을 가늠하기 쉽습니다.

How service length and discharge dates are set
A discharge date follows from the enlistment date and the service length set for each branch, which the Military Service Act fixes separately — subject to early discharge, extensions and similar variables.
Service length by branch
Active-duty service runs 18 months for the Army and Marine Corps, 20 for the Navy and 21 for the Air Force. Social service personnel serve 21 months, and other alternative forms have their own terms.
The period counts from the enlistment date, and discharge falls on the day the term expires.
Service lengths have been adjusted over time by defence policy; those already serving are generally held to the term in force at enlistment, so the enlistment-date basis is what to check.
When the date moves
Some units discharge early when the date falls on a weekend or holiday, but this depends on the unit rather than a fixed rule.
Hospitalisation and unauthorised absence are not credited to the service period and can push the date back, while early discharge requires meeting separate conditions.
Reserve forces assignment follows discharge, and both the assignment period and training call-ups are calculated from that date.
