국제전화 거는 법

해외로 전화를 걸 때는 ①국제전화 식별번호 → ②상대국 국가번호 → ③상대방 번호(맨 앞 0 생략) 순서로 누릅니다. 한국에서 해외로 걸 때는 001·002·00700 등 통신사별 국제전화 식별번호를 먼저 누른 뒤 국가번호를 입력합니다. 예를 들어 한국에서 미국 뉴욕(212-555-0100)으로 걸려면 001-1-212-555-0100처럼 누릅니다.

지역번호란?

지역번호는 국내 유선전화가 설치된 지역을 구분하는 번호입니다. 같은 지역 안에서는 지역번호 없이 걸 수 있지만, 다른 지역에서 걸 때는 지역번호를 함께 눌러야 합니다. 휴대폰(010)과 인터넷전화(070)는 지역 구분 없이 전국 공통으로 사용됩니다.

+와 00의 차이

스마트폰에서 연락처를 국제 형식(예: +82 10-1234-5678)으로 저장해 두면, 해외에서든 국내에서든 자동으로 국제전화 식별번호가 붙어 걸립니다. + 기호는 발신 국가에 맞는 국제전화 식별번호(한국은 001 등)를 자동으로 대체한다는 뜻입니다.

How to dial internationally

To call abroad, dial ①international call prefix → ②country code → ③the number (drop the leading 0). From Korea, dial a carrier prefix such as 001 or 002 first, then the country code. For example, calling New York (212-555-0100) from Korea: 001-1-212-555-0100.

What are area codes?

Area codes identify the region where a Korean landline is registered. Calls within the same region can omit the area code, but calls from another region need it. Mobile numbers (010) and internet phones (070) are nationwide and have no area code.

Saving a contact in international format (e.g. +82 10-1234-5678) lets your phone automatically substitute the correct international call prefix, whether you dial from home or abroad.
