Arcade and casual games — snake, brick breaker, merge fruit, apple game.
Arcade & Casual Guide
Snake is the classic of steering a body that grows longer with every bite of food, trying to last as long as possible without hitting a wall or yourself, and brick breaker has you bounce a ball with a paddle until every brick on screen is cleared.
Merge fruit is a physics puzzle where dropping matching fruit lets them collide and combine into the next size up, so timing matters, and the apple game has you drag-select groups of numbered apples on a grid that sum to 10 before the clock runs out.
The rules stay simple in all four, but speed or density ramps up as your score climbs — good for a short break rather than a long session.
As Snake grows longer, sharp last-second turns near the edge lead to more self-collisions, so steering toward open space early, before you're cornered, helps. In merge fruit, rather than just stacking downward, planning ahead to place same-size fruit side by side before merging slows how fast the stack climbs toward the top. In the apple game, scanning only in straight rows or columns for combinations that sum to 10 misses a lot — scanning in a broader rectangle finds the less obvious combinations faster.
