1. About Calqu

Calqu (calqu.kr) is an all-in-one utility portal built around one goal: letting you finish what you need right away, without a complicated search. Whether you are checking your take-home pay, estimating loan interest, working out your age or a D-day, counting characters or making a QR code, we all reach for small tools several times a day. Calqu organizes these by topic and puts a purpose-built tool and its explanation on a single page.

Every tool is free and requires no sign-up or login. Apart from advertising, there are no paid features or payments.

2. What We Offer

Calqu provides frequently used tools across five sections (Calculators, Text, Developer, Image and Misc) spanning 13 categories. The Calculators section is further split into nine categories.

• Math & Basic — basic and scientific calculators, percentage, fractions, ratios, averages, powers and roots, and more.
• Unit Converters — length, weight, area (pyeong), volume, temperature, speed, data size, exchange rate, and more.
• Finance & Investment — loan interest, savings interest, compound growth, mortgage limit (LTV·DSR), stock average price, and more.
• Tax & Payroll — net salary, weekly holiday allowance, severance, income tax, VAT, capital-gains / gift / inheritance tax, and more.
• Labor & Work — annual leave, unemployment benefit, parental-leave pay, minimum wage, overtime pay, and more.
• Date & Time — age / star sign / zodiac, D-day, date difference, weekday, business days, world time, and more.
• Health & Life — BMI / ideal weight / BMR, due date, ovulation, blood alcohol content, and more.
• Real Estate — brokerage fee, acquisition tax, property tax, price per pyeong, and more.
• Study & Etc. — GPA, discount, tip, electricity bill, and more.
• Text — character counter, case & whitespace cleaner, romanization, text compare, and more.
• Developer — timestamp, UUID, hash, JWT, regex, JSON & encoders, QR & barcode generators, and more.

Each tool page carries not only the tool but also its how-to and FAQ (plus the formula for calculators), so you can understand what a result means and how it was derived.

3. Operating Principles

• Inputs are computed only in your browser. Figures you enter (salary, date of birth, etc.) are not sent to any server; the calculation happens entirely on your device.
• A fast, lightweight static site. No app install and no sign-up — a web browser is all you need.
• Tuned to Korea. Tax, payroll and real-estate logic is designed around domestic laws and rates.
• Changes are public. Tool additions, improvements, fixes and known limitations are logged in date order on the Changelog page.

4. Accuracy & Updates

Calqu strives to keep results accurate. However, figures that depend on policy — tax rates, deduction thresholds and the like — can change each year as laws and notices are revised. We update these policy-dependent calculators to reflect the latest standards and label the applicable base year on each page.

4-1. Editorial & Review Policy

Figures that depend on policy — tax, labor and finance figures in particular — are written based on official sources such as the National Tax Service, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Bank of Korea, the National Pension Service and the National Health Insurance Service, and each calculator or guide page states the reference date or applicable year for those figures.

When a rate or policy is revised, we update the single shared rate data file used across the site and then regenerate every page that depends on it. This prevents the mismatch of one calculator being updated while other pages are left showing outdated figures.

If you spot an error or an outdated figure in any calculation or explanation, please email us via 6. Operator & Contact. We will check it against our source material and correct it promptly.

4-2. Developer & Updates

Calqu is run by a single developer, Yuseong Jeong, who personally handles planning, development, content writing, and fact-checking. Every addition of a new tool, improvement to existing tools, and update of rates or figures is logged on the Changelog page by date, and tool guides and development notes are also published on the operator's blog Orb.

5. Privacy & Advertising
