PDF Splitter

Extract page ranges or split every page of a PDF.

Files never leave your device · Processed in your browser

Output mode

e.g. 1-3,5 · Stays in sync with thumbnail clicks.

What is this?

Reads your PDF entirely in browser memory and builds a new PDF from the pages you choose, or splits every page into its own PDF bundled as a ZIP — no upload needed, download instantly.

How to use it

Pick or drop a PDF to see page thumbnails. Click thumbnails to choose pages, or type a range like "1-3,5" into the page range field on the right — both stay in sync automatically. Choose an output mode (extract range / selected pages as ZIP / all pages as ZIP) and click "Split →" to get your result.

Privacy & safety

Loading, previewing, splitting and downloading all happen entirely in your browser — files are never uploaded or stored on a server.

Technology & license

PDF creation and splitting use pdf-lib (MIT license), and page preview rendering uses pdf.js (Apache-2.0 license, Mozilla). Both are loaded as local bundles — no external CDN calls.

How does PDF splitting work here?
Your PDF is loaded into browser memory, then either the pages you pick are combined into a new PDF, or every page is saved as its own PDF and bundled into a ZIP. Everything happens in your browser only.
Can I extract only a page range?
Yes. Click thumbnails to pick pages, or type a range like "1-3,5" to build a single PDF containing only those pages. You can also save the selected pages individually, or split every page at once.
What license does this tool use?
PDF creation and splitting use pdf-lib (MIT license), and page preview rendering uses pdf.js (Apache-2.0 license, Mozilla). Both are loaded as local bundles — no external server calls.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Loading, previewing, splitting and downloading all happen in your browser only — nothing is sent or stored on a server. Password-protected PDFs can't be opened — please remove the password first.
