Text Cleaner

Find & replace, remove duplicate lines, sort lines.

Your text is processed entirely in your browser — never uploaded or stored.

What is this tool?

The text cleaner tidies multi-line text in one click with find & replace, remove duplicate lines, and sort lines (ascending / descending) — handy for cleaning up lists, data and notes.

What each mode does
  • Find & replace: swaps one string for another, with case-sensitive and replace-all options. Special characters are matched literally.
  • Remove duplicate lines: keeps only the first occurrence of each line and drops the rest, preserving the original order.
  • Sort lines: orders lines by locale (dictionary) comparison — ascending A→Z or descending Z→A.
Note: sorting and dedupe work per line (newline), not per word within a line.
Privacy & processing

Everything runs in your browser. Your text is never uploaded or stored, and you can copy the result to your clipboard.

What can it clean up?
Four things: find & replace (swap one string for another), remove duplicate lines (keep each line once), sort lines ascending, and sort lines descending. Pick a mode at the top, then press Clean.
How does duplicate-line removal work?
It removes all duplicates: only the first occurrence of each line is kept and every later copy is dropped, regardless of position. The order of the remaining lines is preserved. For example a, a, b, a becomes a, b.
How are lines sorted?
Lines are ordered by locale (dictionary) comparison. Ascending goes A→Z and small→large; descending is the reverse. Mixed Korean, English and numbers are arranged in dictionary order.
What options does find & replace have?
Case sensitive and replace all. Turning off case sensitivity treats upper and lower case as the same; replace all changes every match in the text. Special regex characters such as dots and asterisks are matched literally.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser; your text is never uploaded or stored.
