Spinner Wheel

Spin a wheel of your items to decide.

Enter at least 2 items. Up to 8–10 reads best.

What is this?

A spinner wheel randomizer for hard-to-make choices — what to eat, who goes first, who takes the penalty. Enter your items and spin — the item under the top arrow wins.

How to use it

Enter items one per line and press Spin — the item under the top arrow wins. At least 2 items are required.

Fair & private

Every result uses the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto) with rejection sampling to remove modulo bias, so every item is equally likely. Your items and results are never sent to a server.

This isn't a casino roulette — it's a custom draw tool

This tool isn't a casino roulette with payout odds or stakes — it's a spinner that fairly picks one of the items you entered yourself. With n items, every slice is the same size, so every item has an equal 1/n chance of winning. With 6 items that's 1/6 each (about 16.7%); with 10 items, 1/10 each (10%). The key point is that it's a fair, unweighted random draw with no item favored — useful for deciding lunch, presentation order, or who takes a penalty at a get-together without any ambiguity.

Are the results fairly random?
Yes. The winning wheel item comes from the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), with rejection sampling to remove modulo bias so every option is equally likely.
How many wheel items can I add?
Enter one item per line; at least 2 are required. There is no hard cap, but 8–10 or fewer reads best on screen — with many items each slice narrows and names may be truncated.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The wheel canvas scales responsively to the screen width. No app install or sign-up — it runs instantly in the browser.
Can I turn off the spin animation?
If you enable "reduce motion" (prefers-reduced-motion) in your OS or browser, the wheel shows the result instantly with no spin. Handy if animation makes you dizzy or you want a fast decision.
Is this the same as a casino roulette?
No. This tool is a custom spinner that randomly decides ambiguous choices like lunch, turn order, or a penalty — it has nothing to do with casino games involving odds or stakes.
How does the winning chance change with the number of items?
Every item occupies an equal-size slice, so with n items each has a 1/n chance. For example, 6 items means 1/6 each (about 16.7%), and 10 items means 1/10 each (10%).
