Reflex & Measure

Reflex and measure games — reaction speed, typing, CPS, memory.

Reflex & Measure Guide

The reaction time test measures, in milliseconds, how fast you click the instant a signal appears, and the typing speed (WPM) test measures your words-per-minute and error rate while you type a given passage.

The click speed (CPS) test is about how many clicks you can land in a fixed window, while the memory game — flipping cards to find matching pairs — tests something closer to short-term recall, so the two feel quite different.

All four games log your result immediately so you can compare it against a previous attempt — good for competing with friends or chasing a personal best.

Reaction time swings a lot just from screen distance or the difference between a mouse and a touchscreen, so comparing against a past score is only fair on the same device and input method. Typing speed often drops because of the habit of stopping to fix every typo — pushing through to the end without backtracking usually nets a higher words-per-minute than a few uncorrected typos would cost. For the memory game, rather than clicking cards at random, silently repeating the order of cards you've already seen cuts down mistakes as the round goes on.
