What is White Noise & Focus Sounds?

A sound mixer that gathers steady background sounds which help mask sudden noises around you. No audio files are used: your browser generates every sound, and you can switch each channel on or off and set its volume separately.

White noise mixes all frequencies evenly, giving a bright, clear hiss. Pink noise has more energy in the low range, so it sounds softer, like rain or rustling leaves. Brown noise is the most bass-heavy, closer to a deep wind or distant waterfall. Which one feels comfortable differs from person to person, so try them and pick what suits you.

How to use it and tips

Press play, turn on the sounds you want with each card's button, and set the level with its slider. The Study focus preset keeps pink and brown noise low so nearby conversation is easier to ignore, and the Sleep preset is built around soft low tones. The last mix you made is saved in this browser and restored next time.

Before sleeping, set the sleep timer. The sound fades out gradually for the last 30 seconds and then stops. Effects vary from person to person, and this tool does not replace medical treatment or the diagnosis of a sleep disorder.

Note: Start quiet and raise the volume only as much as needed. Listening to loud sound through earphones for long periods can strain your hearing. All sound is generated in this browser and nothing is sent to a server.
How do white, pink and brown noise differ?
All three are irregular sounds with different strength across frequencies. White noise mixes all frequencies evenly and sounds like a hiss, pink noise has stronger low frequencies and sounds softer like rain, and brown noise is the most bass-heavy, like a low distant wind. Which feels comfortable varies a lot between people.
Does it download sound files? Does it work offline?
No audio files are used; the browser's Web Audio feature generates the sound directly. Once the page is open it plays without further data transfer, and no sound is ever sent to a server.
Does it keep playing when the screen is off or I switch tabs?
Yes. Playback continues when you switch tabs, and in supporting browsers you can play or pause from the lock screen or notification media controls. It may still stop depending on your device's power-saving settings or browser policy.
How does the auto-stop timer work?
Choose 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes and playback stops when that time has passed. The sound fades out gradually over the last 30 seconds instead of cutting off, and the timing is based on real clock time, so it stays accurate even in a background tab.
