What is this?

The Pomodoro Technique repeats a set of 25 minutes of focus and 5 minutes of break, followed by a 15-minute long break every four sets. Alternating focus and rest in short cycles helps you stay engaged while reducing fatigue.

How to use it

Press Start to begin the focus countdown. When time is up, an alert sound and screen highlight play, then it automatically moves to the break phase. Use Pause to hold and Start again to resume. Skip ends the current phase immediately and moves to the next one. Reset restores the entire session, including the completed count, back to the start.

In the Settings panel you can change the focus, short break, and long break durations, along with the long-break interval. Changes are saved in your browser and kept for your next visit.

Note: Due to browser autoplay policy, the alert sound plays only after you have clicked Start at least once.
Real-world uses

Use the Pomodoro Timer to break study, reading, or work sessions into short focused blocks, to keep a healthy rest rhythm during long work sessions, or as a way to get started on a task you've been putting off.

What is the Pomodoro Technique?
The Pomodoro Technique repeats a set of 25 minutes of focus and 5 minutes of break, followed by a 15-minute long break every four sets. Alternating focus and rest in short cycles helps improve concentration and reduce fatigue.
Can I change the focus/break durations?
Yes. In the settings area you can change the focus duration, short break, long break, and the long-break interval. Changes are saved in your browser and kept for your next visit.
I can't hear the alert sound.
Browsers only allow sound playback after you've clicked a button on the page at least once. After pressing Start once, the alert sound will play normally at the end of each phase.
Is the time accurate if I switch tabs?
Yes. Remaining time is calculated from the current timestamp (now), so even if the tab is in the background and screen updates are delayed, the actual elapsed time stays accurate.
