Transparent background handling

PNG, WebP, AVIF and ICO keep transparency (alpha channel) intact. JPEG has no alpha support, so a white background is filled in first — transparent areas turn white.

Why isn't HEIC/HEIF supported?

Most web browsers don't provide a built-in decoder for HEIC/HEIF. Since this tool works 100% in your browser without uploading files to a server, HEIC/HEIF input can't be converted.
