Generate & Extract Guide

With just a logo image, the favicon generator produces the full set of ICO/PNG sizes needed for a browser tab and bookmarks in one pass, and if you just want the dominant colors of an image for a design reference, the palette extractor pulls a HEX/RGB palette straight out of it.

If a photo still carries the shooting location or device info, it's safer to check and strip it with the EXIF viewer & remover before posting online, and images you want to discourage from being copied can get a text or logo watermark layered on and saved.

When an image has to be embedded directly in code, image-to-Base64 turns it into a data URI, and the meme generator — adding a top and bottom caption to a photo — rounds out this group's focus on making or pulling something new out of an image.

Uploading a non-square logo for a favicon can get its sides cropped at certain sizes, so it helps to prepare something close to square beforehand. EXIF can still carry the GPS coordinates of where a photo was taken — worth stripping before posting a travel photo or a shot of your home's interior to social media. A watermark that's too large or dark obscures the photo itself, while one too small gets cropped out easily, so placing it semi-transparent nearer the center rather than a corner makes it harder to remove.
