Flashlight

Use the camera flash or a bright screen as a flashlight.

Press the button to turn on the flashlight.

What is this?

A free online tool that turns your phone's camera flash on and off like a flashlight, or falls back to filling the screen with bright light on devices that don't support it. Works directly in the browser with no app install.

How to use it

Press the Turn on button in the center. On supported devices, it requests rear camera permission and turns on the real flash (torch). If unsupported or permission is denied, it automatically falls back to Screen flashlight mode, filling the screen with bright light. Press the button again (or tap anywhere in screen mode) to turn it off.

Note: Real camera flash control is a best-effort feature limited to supported browsers/devices. It gracefully falls back to screen brightness mode when unsupported.
Real-world uses

Useful for finding things in the dark, temporary lighting during a power outage, or basic visibility outdoors. You can also change the screen color for soft lighting or signaling.

The real camera flash doesn't turn on.
Camera torch control is only supported on some Android browsers (e.g. Chrome). Many browsers, including iPhone Safari, don't allow web pages to control the camera flash directly for security reasons. In that case, the tool automatically falls back to screen flashlight mode.
Why does it ask for camera permission?
Turning on the camera flash (torch) requires the browser to access the rear camera stream, so camera permission is needed. If denied or unsupported, it naturally falls back to screen flashlight mode. No photos or video are captured or stored.
How do I use screen flashlight mode?
The whole screen fills with a bright color; raising your screen brightness to maximum makes it even brighter. You can pick a different color besides white with the swatch buttons, and tap the screen again to turn it off.
Does it drain the battery a lot?
Both the camera flash and maximum screen brightness use more battery than normal use. Check your battery level for long sessions and turn it off when not needed.
